These are the same questions and answers the app carries in Settings, in the same words. If yours is not here, write to support@alphawealth.app — tell us what you expected and what happened instead.
Keeping a record of what you own and what you owe, with the paperwork attached — and letting somebody you trust help you keep it up to date. It is a book, not a bank. Nothing here moves money.
No. Most people keep their own book. A bookkeeper is somebody you invite later, if you want one, and you decide which parts of the book they can see.
You do not have one. Signing in with Google or Apple means they vouch for you and we never see a password. If you would rather have one, set it in Settings — you will then have two ways in, and either works.
No. One email address is one account with one role. If you keep your own book and also do the books for somebody else, that is one account doing both — not two.
It is what the thing cost you, and the day you bought it. It never changes. "What it is worth now" does change, and the difference between the two is your gain — which is the number the book cannot work out without it.
Type that instead. On anything with a size, each amount has a Total / Per unit switch. Put in the size, tap Per sq ft, and type the rate — the total works itself out. It works the other way round too, and switching between them clears nothing.
Whatever the subcategory offers — square feet, square metres and square yards on a flat; square yards first on a plot, because that is how land is quoted in much of India; acres on a farm; grams or tola on gold; shares on a holding. A painting has no size, so it simply asks what it is worth.
Because a value with no date cannot be checked, and because converting it to another currency uses the rate for that day. If you are entering a figure from a report written in March, put March — not today.
No, and this is deliberate. An amount and its currency are one fact. Separating them a year from now would leave two numbers with no way to tell which was true. The app asks before you choose something other than your book's currency, and says it cannot be undone.
Because it is kept in a currency that is not your book's, so it has been converted for the total. The ≈ marks it as arithmetic rather than a figure somebody wrote down. The conversion uses the rate for that amount's own date.
We collect rates once a day, and only from the day we started. A purchase from years ago has no rate on file. The amount is still stored exactly as you typed it, in its own currency — only the conversion is missing, and it appears if a rate for that day ever arrives.
For the first half hour it is just an edit. After that, a change to somebody else's entry goes to the owner to approve, and the book keeps a note of what changed and who changed it. That is what makes a book two people write in worth trusting.
Yes — every category has + Add your own, and what you add is yours alone. Nobody else sees it and it can be renamed or removed from the same place you made it.
No. The drawer is separate on purpose. Nothing you snap touches your net worth or appears in a bookkeeper's view — it is a place to find the warranty when the fridge dies.
Because nothing has been kept in them yet. The shelves are there and labelled so you can see where the next thing goes. Tap Snap a receipt.
The photograph is sent to be read, and comes back as the shop, the total and any warranty or return date it can find. You can correct any of it. If you would rather nothing left the app, do not use the read feature — a receipt you never ask to be read is never sent anywhere.
It is in the bin for 30 days and can be put back from there, photographs and all. After that it is gone for good.
It waits on your phone and goes up when you are back on a network. Nothing is lost and you do not have to do anything.
Ask them for their bookkeeper code, or invite them by email. You then choose which assets they can see and whether they can only read or also record entries. You can withdraw it at any time.
No. They stop seeing anything further, but what they already recorded stays. A record that can be erased after the fact is not a record — corrections go through the correction trail instead, which shows what changed.
Only what you gave them. Access is per asset, and there are parts of the book — your private note about where the papers are, for one — that no bookkeeper ever sees.
If you stop opening the app for a long time, we email to ask whether you are there. If nobody answers, your records go to the people you named. It is off until you set it up, and answering the email stops it.
90 days of silence before we ask, then 21 more days with no answer before the book moves. The link the people you named receive works for 90 days. The app shows you the current periods.
No. It gives the people you named a copy of your records so they know what exists and where the paperwork is. It transfers nothing and gives nobody a right to anything. Make a will — this makes carrying one out possible.
You can name a different person for a particular asset. Everything else follows the beneficiaries on your account.
There is a free tier with a limit on entries, and a paid plan that lifts it. The app shows the price before you buy. If a paid plan lapses your book stays — you keep reading and exporting it.
Through the App Store or Play Store, wherever you bought it. They handle the billing and the refunds, not us.
You, anybody you have given access to, and — only through the handover, and only if you set one up — the people you named. Nobody at Alpha Wealth reads your book as a matter of course.
Turn on two-step sign-in in Settings. You will be asked for a code as well as your password. The same screen lists every device signed in, and you can end any of them.
Yes. The year-book export gives you your entries and every document in one file, whenever you want, on any plan.
Your name, email, phone, password and photograph are removed and your documents are destroyed. The entries themselves stay, because if a bookkeeper recorded them they are that bookkeeper's working records — but they no longer point at a person. It cannot be undone, which is why it asks for your password and a code.
It will still show you everything already on the phone, and anything you write waits and goes up when you have signal again.
Some longer documents have not been translated yet, and the app says so rather than pretending. Your language setting is on your profile, so it follows you to any phone you sign in on.
Write to support@alphawealth.app. Tell us what you expected and what happened instead — that is usually enough for us to find it.
